D-Major — From Stage to Spirit: Music with a Mission

Meet D-Major, born Damian Codlin in Kingston, Jamaica — a city alive with rhythm, spirit, and soul. Raised on the timeless sounds of R&B and Reggae from his mother’s treasured vinyl  and cassette tape collection, music became more than a passion — it became his language.

He first stepped into the spotlight as one of the lead vocalists of the group Q-T (Quality and Togetherness), and in 2005, began his solo journey under the name the world now knows: D-Major.

Over the years, his voice carried across borders and touched hearts. With global hits like That’s What Love’s About, Girl of My Dreams, Real Know Real, Red Alert, and She Nah Give It Away, and powerful collaborations with legends like Busy Signal and Usain Bolt, his music soared — from Kingston’s studios to stages in Amsterdam, Nairobi, and beyond.

But something even more powerful than success was waiting.

On November 10th, 2024, D-Major was baptized — and in that sacred moment, everything changed. Not just his direction, but his purpose. He surrendered his life fully to Jesus Christ, and from that day forward, his mission became clear: To do the will of the Lord in all things — including his music.

What once was crafted for entertainment is now led by divine intention. His music has become a ministry — every lyric an offering, every beat a testimony, every performance a moment to glorify God.

I’m not perfect, but I’m committed,” he shares.

Committed to walking this path in obedience. My music isn’t about performance anymore — it’s about purpose. It’s about reaching people with God's truth, and light. I still sing, I still write — but now, I do it for His Kingdom.”

D-Major’s latest projects reflect that transformation more than ever. His “Morning Prayer” EP, featuring the moving anthem Alpha and Omega, blends the spirit of gospel with Afrobeat — a sound that uplifts souls while pointing them to repentance .

He’s no longer just a voice in the crowd —
He’s a vessel.
A vessel of grace.
A vessel of hope.
A vessel of God’s love, poured out through every melody he creates.

And if you’ve ever felt something deeper when listening to his music — that peace, that conviction, that fire -That’s not him. That’s Christ .

To God alone be the glory.
